All areas of our business comply with UK Data Protection Act 1998 and EU GDPR 2018 legislation. We do not participate in the disclosure or resale of customer data. No invasive tracking or targeted advertising happens on this website. We only engage in the collection of data essential to facilitate in providing products or services to you in a safe and efficient manner. We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Any information you provide while using this website will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy. This information is used to understand your needs and requirements to provide you with the best possible service and holiday experience with specific reasons:

• Booking and administrative record keeping.
• Marketing promotion – from time to time we send promotional emails or other information we think you will find of interest. You always have the option to unsubscribe from further correspondence.
• Market research – we may use your information to contact you for feedback about your holiday experience. We will only contact you by email and you will always have the option to unsubscribe from further correspondence.

We are committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. We have put in place management procedures and both physical and electronic security measures to safeguard your details and comply with General Data Protection Regulations 2018.

Keeping Control of Your Information

We will never pass on your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission, or are required by law to do so.

We use Anytime Booking to manage our bookings through our website. All data collected through their booking management software for us is under our control. Anytime Booking have their own Privacy Policy on their website.

The Greener Camping Club

In order to stay with us you need to be a member of the Greener Camping Club. We may enrol you at the point of booking, or you may already be a member. We have a written agreement with the Club about how your information may be used.

The Greener Camping Club only records your name and email address.

Like most other websites, our website uses small tracking cookies and other services to enhance your browsing experience – and to help you use our website.

You are free to opt-in or opt-out of non essential tracking cookies, however you may encounter a downgrade in website functionality if you choose to opt out. Cookies do not give us access to your electronic device or any other information about you.

By booking a camping pitch at Arden Lakes Camping you agree by the following Terms & Conditions and site rules:

The Greener Camping Club

We have chosen to be members of the Greener Camping Club, meaning we are a Greener Camping Club members-only ‘Certificated Campsite’. Membership costs £12 for the calendar year. This amount can be added to your camping fees when you book, (if you are not an existing member). Only one membership is required for each pitch. We can provide your membership confirmation email before you arrive for your holiday or you can contact them directly at www.greenercamping.org.

Electricity for Touring Pitches

Electricity for touring pitches is charged at a rate of 0.35p per kwh, this is paid for via a pre paid card system.  Any unused funds remaining on prepayment card at the end of your stay, will be refunded.

Payment

We request a  non- refundable deposit to secure your camping pitch booking. This is payable via bank transfer. Confirmed receipt of your deposit confirms your booking. The balance is requested  2 weeks before your stay. We will send you an email reminder. If you book when your stay is imminent, i.e. you book within 2 weeks of your stay, the full amount is required to secure the booking. This is payable by bank transfer or our online booking system. When making payments by bank transfer please give the surname of the person making the booking as the reference.

Cancellation by you

We understand that sometimes plans change. If you cancel more than  2 weeks before your stay, we may be able to offer you alternative dates subject to availability.

If you cancel within 7 days of your stay, no refund will be made (we retain your full payment).

Arden Lakes Camping is not liable for refunds or expenses you incur in the unlikely event of extenuating circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances include (but are not limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, flooding, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or such similar events (‘Force Majeure’). In the unlikely event of such circumstances, you will not receive a refund but we may be able to offer alternative dates or, in certain circumstances, gift vouchers. If you are worried about the prospect of cancelling, please take out holiday insurance. Bookings are not transferrable to other guests without prior agreement from us in writing or email.

Cancellation by us

Arden Lakes Camping reserves the right to cancel a camping holiday at short notice if we are unable to provide safe accommodation or camping facilities due to extreme weather conditions, ill health, fire, flooding or other extenuating circumstances beyond our control. Such circumstances include (but are not limited to) war, terrorism, riots or civil unrest, industrial action, natural disaster, epidemics, health risks or similar events (‘Force Majeure’). In the unlikely event of such circumstances, you will not receive a refund but we may be able to offer alternative dates or, in certain circumstances, gift vouchers. Arden Lakes cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss, caused by cancellation. If you are concerned about the prospect of cancellation, please take out holiday insurance.

Arrival and departure times

The arrival time for our camping pitches is from 2pm-6pm. Please let us know if you expect to arrive outside of these hours. On your day of departure, we ask that you vacate the camping pitches by 11am.

Parking

We operate a policy of no on-field parking, with the exception of motorhomes/campervans etc. that you are sleeping in. Full parking details are provided upon booking.

Dogs

We do not accommodate any dogs on site.

Lakes

Swimming, paddle boarding, canoeing are prohibited on the lakes.

Lost/stolen property

Arden Lakes cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen property.

Additional Terms & Conditions for our Facilities

Breakages/damage Should any significant damage or breakage occur, other than acceptable wear and tear, a charge for replacement may be made. Guests will be held responsible for any fire, smoke or general damage, or alteration to the structure caused by negligence.
